Episode 118: A Life in Pro Tennis w/ Kayla Fujimoto Epperson

On this show, we have an awesome guest – Kayla Fujimoto Epperson.  Kayla is a Physical Therapist and has had a pretty epic journey through her professional career, that’s led her into the realm of professional tennis. And that culminated very recently into the athlete that she works with winning the fricken Australian Open. This was such an interesting conversation – as Kayla let us in on what it’s like to work with an athlete at that level; how members of the team collaborate and handle the pressure of the competitive season. She really gave us an inside peek on what it’s like to work in professional sport.  But there are so many clinical and professional gems in this conversation for everyone. It was so good.

We hope you enjoy!

So, that’s what we dive into on this show – all things Minimum Effective Dose – what it means, how to find it, combatting training misconceptions, and a lot more. If prescribing exercise dosage is something that’s relevant for you, you’re going to want to listen to this one.
